How many steps do you walk each day?
Most of us take an average of 3,000 to 5,000 steps per day. However, in order to stay fit and
healthy it is recommended that you walk 7,000-10,000 steps per day. To increase your walking
routine, you can start with as little as ten minutes per day.
Walking can enhance mental well being, help control body weight, reduce the risk of coronary
heart disease and lower blood pressure. Furthermore, walking is one of the easiest ways to
incorporate regular physical activity into ones lifestyle – for all Providence members.
