Providence Baptist Church has over 40 ministries that provide a variety of services to both our congregation and community. The newest ministry was launched in April of 2010 and is the Marketing Ministry. Now why, you may ask, would a church need to market? After all, we are a church and not a corporation. In point of fact, marketing was at the very foundation of Jesus and his ministry. “Marketing is the management of perception.” As a church marketing is the ability to adjust and control how people perceive Providence.
- We help define their connection with us
- This impacts their decision toward Christ
There are over 30 references in the Bible to Jesus managing people’s perceptions. We market all of the time whether we know it or not in how we treat and respond to people, the appearance of our church how we appear in the press, how we meet needs and more.
The marketing ministry’s mission seeks to aid our church in obeying The Great Commission. “For though I am free from all men, I have made myself a servant to all, that I might win the more.”- 1 Corinthians 9:19.
The Marketing Ministry leader is Eric Pryor. If interested in more information, please contact the church office.
